Offices in Chester consisted of large call centre on the ground floor and boardrooms on the upper floor. Client was aware that the meetings rooms above were being disturbed by the call centre staff downstairs and vice verse. Also on the upper floor the glass partitions were allowing noise to travel between each meeting room.
Our solution
The upper meeting room floors were lifted and mass filled with high density acoustic mineral Rockwool floorboards were reinstated and overlaid with acoustic floor membrane. All points of contact acoustically sealed.
Soundblock acoustic suspended ceiling tiles we also installed and perimeter Rockwool walls built within the voids of the ceiling.
We also created a soundproof room and storage area on the upper floor to house the server units as the noise created from the server units were noisy and distracting the team.
Complete project installation by Cheshire Soundproofing from soundproofing treatment through to plastering and joinery. All work carried out on schedule and within 1 week with no major disruption to the business.
